Job description:
Summary: Sets up and operates large radial drill, Duplex mill, Carlton horizontal mill, Amera Seiki, Scharmann mill to drill, bevel, bore, face or otherwise machine steel structural shapes, sheets or plates by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets up machine according to Resource Instructions to perform drilling, beveling, boring, facing or otherwise machine steel parts as specified on work order traveler document or blueprint using proper tooling.
Positions raw material on machine and activates machine to perform required operation.
Measures work piece or traces from template to locate holes or cutting lines as specified by work order traveler and/or blueprint. Confirms quantities of parts and places on material handling pallet.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend: simple instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Legible handwriting is required.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will learn Manufacturing software.
