We're looking for a motivated and reliable Forklift Operator to become part of our team in Garden City, GA. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, operating equipment, staying organized, and contributing to a team that takes pride in delivering outstanding service.
In this role, you'll help ensure materials are received, stored, prepared, and distributed accurately so projects stay on schedule and customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Forklift Operator, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments while verifying quantities and material condition.
- Pull, cut, and stage flooring materials for daily deliveries and installation crews.
- Load company trucks and transfer vehicles while ensuring orders are complete and accurate.
- Organize warehouse inventory and keep products stored in their designated locations.
- Maintain inventory records, update product labels, and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Prepare daily pick lists and material allocations for scheduled installations.
- Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment, including changing propane tanks when required.
- Deliver materials to customer job sites using a company vehicle when needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and report any mechanical concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse by removing debris, replacing cutting blades, cleaning equipment, and preparing orders for the following day.
- Monitor and respond to emails regarding inventory, orders, and billing questions.
- Work closely with warehouse leadership and installation teams to resolve material or scheduling issues.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and warehouse procedures at all times.
Qualifications Required
- At least 5 years of warehouse experience
- Previous forklift experience with current or prior forklift certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic computer knowledge, including email and data entry
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math and measuring abilities
Preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience working with flooring products, building materials, or construction supplies
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent physical activity throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 pounds
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, twist, and reach
- Work comfortably in both indoor warehouse and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
Schedule
Monday – Friday
9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Flexibility to start earlier, stay later, or work occasional overtime is preferred based on business demands.
