Duties
- Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal options that meet dietary guidelines.
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
- Cook a variety of dishes using proper knife skills and cooking techniques, maintaining efficiency during busy service times.
- Serve meals with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring all guests receive attentive and courteous service.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and managing food presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, food storage, and equipment to uphold health standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in food handling, meal preparation, and cooking within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety regulations, and proper sanitation practices.
- Experience in food service or restaurant settings, showcasing excellent customer service skills.
- Strong knife skills, culinary experience, or background in the food industry is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
