Position: Preschool/Kindergarten Spanish Teacher
Pay: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview
Ettevort International Academy is seeking a warm, energetic, and dependable Preschool/Kindergarten Spanish Teacher to join our school community.
The ideal candidate loves working with young children and understands how to create a classroom that is both nurturing and structured. This position requires a teacher with strong classroom management skills who can keep young learners engaged, establish consistent routines, and create an environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
The Spanish Teacher will introduce and reinforce Spanish through age-appropriate instruction, conversation, songs, stories, games, movement, hands-on activities, and daily classroom experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, age-appropriate Spanish instruction for Preschool and Kindergarten students.
- Create a positive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Maintain strong and consistent classroom management and clear behavioral expectations.
- Use songs, games, stories, movement, visuals, and hands-on activities to make language learning engaging.
- Encourage students to use Spanish naturally throughout the school day.
- Develop students' listening, speaking, vocabulary, and early literacy skills.
- Plan and prepare lessons and classroom activities appropriate for young learners.
- Establish consistent classroom routines and smooth transitions.
- Monitor student learning, behavior, and overall progress.
- Provide appropriate supervision and ensure student safety at all times.
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents, teachers, administrators, and other staff.
- Work collaboratively with the Ettevort teaching team.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development, and special events as required.
Qualifications
- Strong Spanish speaking and communication skills required.
- Experience working with Preschool, Kindergarten, or early elementary-aged children strongly preferred.
- Excellent classroom management skills are essential.
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and energetic.
- Ability to engage and redirect young children positively and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to student success.
- Early childhood education, elementary education, Spanish education, or related coursework/experience is preferred.

Compensation: $16–$20 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
