Pura Vida is seeking a traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent with experience in interior and exterior trades. Experience with remediation containment would be a plus. This position will travel out of state up to 50% of the time.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Superintendents are the eyes, ears, and standard bearers on our job sites. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, quality control, ensuring safety, and providing on-site direction. They are responsible for ensuring Pura Vida projects progress on time, are run efficiently and profitably, demonstrate Pura Vida’s reliability, professionalism, and honesty to the customer, and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and labor partners. Superintendents must also make sure that all work stays within the approved scope and that progress is documented clearly. They will report any potential deviations from project schedules or scopes to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary leader for subcontractors, labor, and employees on the job site.
- Maintain project safety protocol in accordance with Pura Vida’s safety policy.
- Help develop and update the project schedule and site logistics along with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate the work of all subcontractors on the project
- At times you will need to purchase or pick up and transport general materials. Clearly document and don’t purchase more than is needed for a specific job.
- Fill out and submit a daily log with detailed descriptions and photos
- Ensure Plan Management and Document Management is current and updated regularly in the job box or site board on each job site.
- Communicate the progress of projects with Project Managers, with daily/weekly conversations.
- Notify Project Managers of any new or existing conditions that may be a problem and provide a solution with associated costs and impact to the project schedule.
- Create Purchase Orders for every purchase you make. The receipt should be attached to the PO on the same day the purchase is made.
- Ensure that the housekeeping of the job site is taken care of daily.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
