About the role
We're looking for an energetic and passionate Community Outreach Representative to serve as a vital link between our nonprofit partners and the communities we serve together. In this role, you'll actively promote each organization's mission, foster meaningful relationships, and engage diverse audiences through dynamic live events and outreach initiatives.
Your communication skills, enthusiasm, and people-first approach will help elevate our partners' presence, increase community participation, and contribute to real, on-the-ground impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in marketing, public speaking, and community relations - while doing work that matters.
What you will do
- Represent nonprofit partner organizations at community events, pop-up activations, fairs, and local gatherings across greater Kansas area.
- Deliver engaging conversations and presentations to diverse audiences
- Educate the public about partner programs, services, and initiatives in a clear and approachable way
- Provide exceptional service by addressing questions, gathering feedback, and ensuring every interaction is a positive one
- Collaborate with your team to plan and execute outreach activities that maximize community engagement
- Maintain organized records of outreach activities, attendee interactions, and results for reporting
- Travel locally to event sites as scheduled
What we are looking for
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak confidently in public settings
- A friendly, approachable demeanor and strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable engaging with diverse audiences and community members from all walks of life
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple activities during events
- A genuine team player who takes initiative and shows up ready to contribute
- Bilingual abilities are a strong plus - the ability to connect with broader community segments is highly valued
- Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends as needed for events
- Prior experience in marketing, outreach, or events is a plus - but not required
What you will get
- Base salary of $46,000–$50,000 per year, paid weekly
