Office Assistant – Somewhere Over the Spectrum
Somewhere Over the Spectrum is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and team-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. Somewhere Over the Spectrum is an Autism Center located in Berlin, CT that offers holistic and comprehensive ABA services to children on the Autism Spectrum and their families. Full-time hourly positions offer medical, dental, and vision benefit options, Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid holidays. In addition, we offer a 401K plan with a 4% match after one year of employment with our company. Somewhere Over the Spectrum offers a Center-Based Early Childhood Autism Program in our two custom-built centers here in Berlin, in which children are immersed in a naturalistic environment that mirrors that which they would encounter in a typical preschool.
Position Details:
As an Office Assistant, this is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of our Front Office and Organization. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, front office support, client and therapist support, supporting daily office needs, scheduling coordination, family communication, documentation review and support, insurance-related tasks, insurance coordination and benefits, and assisting with the overall needs of the center.

Schedule:
This position is expected to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Exact scheduled hours will be determined based on the needs of the organization and may vary to support daily operations, staff, and family needs.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the center as needed. Employees may lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. The role involves frequent interaction with children, families, and staff in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
