Overview
Join our dynamic food production team as a Production Worker, where your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure the highest quality meat products reach our customers. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing, labeling, and preparing meat products in accordance with food safety standards and manufacturing procedures. Your proactive approach will contribute to a clean, organized, and compliant production environment, supporting our mission to deliver fresh, safe, and delicious meat products every day.
Duties
- Pack and package meat products following established manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and food safety protocols
- Operate packaging machinery and tools safely, including knives and mechanical equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with OSHA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and USDA regulations
- Verify product weights, labels, and packaging accuracy using basic math skills to meet quality standards
- Follow all safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, and safety glasses
- Assist with meat product production tasks such as butchery, meat cutting, and assembly line operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Conduct routine inspections for food safety management compliance, reporting any deviations or hazards immediately
Requirements
- Prior experience in food processing plants or manufacturing environments preferred, especially in the food industry or meat processing facilities
- Knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP standards, and food safety practices essential for maintaining compliance
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and portioning of meat products
- Demonstrated knife skills and experience with meat cutting techniques
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols including OSHA standards and GMP guidelines
- Familiarity with mechanical tools and machinery used in packaging and food processing operations
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain sanitation standards and product quality
