Job Summary
C.P. Food Products, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Entry-Level Import Administrative Assistant to support our Import Department. This position will help coordinate international shipments, maintain accurate import records, communicate with customs brokers and logistics partners, and provide administrative support throughout the import process.

Key Responsibilities
- Track international shipments and provide timely status updates.
- Enter, review, and maintain shipment information and import documentation.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to support timely import entry filings and customs clearance.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Assist with requests or documentation involving relevant U.S. government agencies.
- Review invoices and provide billing and accounts-payable support.
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic shipment records.
- Prepare basic reports and analyze shipment, inventory, or demand information.
- Identify shipment delays, missing documents, or data discrepancies and promptly escalate issues.
- Work with Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, Sales, and other departments to improve efficiency.
- Perform other import-related administrative duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, international trade, or a related field preferred.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with data, documents, and multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn internal systems and import procedures.
- Experience with SAP, shipment tracking, logistics, customs documentation, or accounts payable is a plus.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at our Columbia, Maryland office.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
