Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized DME Office Manager to lead our durable medical equipment (DME) department with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the DME department, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee fiscal management tasks including budgeting, financial reporting, billing processes, and expense control using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks.
- Manage medical records, patient data, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or EHR systems to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper inventory management of medical supplies and equipment, including procurement and inventory audits.
- Supervise staff performance through training, coaching, scheduling, and human resources activities to foster a motivated and efficient team environment.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and managed care protocols while maintaining operational policies aligned with HIPAA guidelines.
- Facilitate communication between departments to optimize clinic operations, including acute care or dental clinic experience as needed for seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management with a focus on DME or related fields such as dental or hospital settings.
- Strong supervisory skills with a track record of leading teams effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing procedures, and revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and utilization management protocols.
- Experience working within managed care frameworks or insurance billing processes is highly desirable.
