Job Overview: We are a new Korean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Spokane, looking for passionate and talented cooks to join our growing team. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and cooking authentic Korean dishes in a brand-new kitchen environment. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality food and an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Korean dishes according to our restaurant's menu and recipes, ensuring top-notch quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with managing kitchen inventory, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Work efficiently to meet order deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Ensure the highest standards of taste, flavor, and authenticity in every dish served.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and stay current with Korean food trends.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or Main Cook, ideally in a Korean or Asian cuisine setting (but not required).
- Skilled in kitchen operations with strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
- A passion for Korean cuisine and the ability to deliver authentic dishes.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to contribute to the success of the restaurant.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain organized during busy service times.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food safety certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring.
