Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lunch Supervisor to oversee the midday meal period at our educational facility. Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring they follow school rules and behave appropriately
- Promote positive social interactions among children, encouraging kindness and cooperation
- Manage conflicts or behavioral issues swiftly using effective conflict management techniques
- Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance, including those with special education requirements
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including basic first aid when necessary
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student behavior or concerns
- Assist with classroom transitions before and after lunch to ensure smooth movement of students
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and promotes good behavior among all students
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare, educational, or similar setting is highly desirable
- Classroom experience or teaching background is advantageous for understanding student needs
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to handle diverse student behaviors effectively
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques to resolve disputes calmly and fairly
- Experience working with students with special education needs or in inclusive environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families confidently
