Position Overview

The Sales Representative serves as the primary client-facing contact during the pre-award phase and is responsible for ensuring scope clarity, pricing accuracy, risk mitigation, and alignment between customer expectations and internal resources. Success in this role directly contributes to EMCO's goals of sustainable revenue growth, margin performance, operational efficiency, and long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Attend and lead client meetings, site visits, presentations, and proposal reviews.
- Prepare accurate, detailed proposals based on defined scope, specifications, and client requirements.
- Utilize internal software systems to track proposals, update customer information, and manage sales pipelines efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by clearly explaining product features, benefits, and technical details to diverse audiences.
- Negotiate terms and close sales by understanding customer needs, overcoming objections, and presenting compelling proposals.
- Evaluate bids for scope clarity, commercial risk, profitability, and resource availability.
- Coordinate internally with Estimating, Engineering, and Operations to confirm feasibility.
- Issue RFIs to clients, consultants, architects, or general contractors to resolve missing or unclear information required for accurate pricing.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- Familiarity with the general construction industry for managing customer relationships and sales activities.
- Familiarity with the elevator construction industry preferred.

- Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
