Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team and lead an excavation crew. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavators and other heavy equipment on sewer and water line replacement job sites. Must be experienced in residential and commercial sewer line repairs and be able to lead a job from start to finish. Leadership and communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling duties as required
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Manage inspections, material deliveries and vendors for sewer line excavations
-Mastery of county, city, sanitation district permit and inspection requirements and protocols
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators
- Proficiency in operating Takeuchi machinery
- Commercial driving experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
