Experienced Nurse Practitioner – Hematology & Oncology
Massillon, Ohio
Tri County Hematology and Oncology Associates is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Massillon office.
We are looking for a clinically strong, knowledgeable, and confident provider who can independently manage patients while working closely with our physicians and oncology team. Previous oncology, hematology, or relevant specialty experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage hematology and oncology patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Manage symptoms, treatment side effects, and supportive care
- Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results
- Order appropriate medications, testing, and follow-up care
- Provide patient and family education throughout treatment
- Work closely with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using OncoEMR
- Assist with urgent patient needs and clinical decision-making
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Nurse Practitioner license
- Appropriate prescribing authority and credentials
- Previous oncology, hematology, or relevant specialty experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable managing complex patients
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
