Duties

- Implement sanitation procedures to ensure all areas meet health standards, including kitchen and bathroom cleaning with suitable detergents.
- Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
- Handle manual lifting of furniture, equipment, and supplies safely during deep cleaning or moving tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces when applicable, including sweeping patios or walkways.
- Use janitorial and custodial experience to clean windows, carpets, upholstery, and other surfaces effectively.
- Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage time effectively to complete daily tasks within scheduled hours while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently to maximize productivity and safety standards.
- Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a hygienic environment is maintained consistently.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with strong janitorial or custodial background.
- Expertise in various cleaning techniques including dusting, surface cleaning, carpet cleaning, and floor care.
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and sanitation products along with proper handling procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle outdoor work conditions when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or residents about their needs.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools used in professional housekeeping.
- Experience in residential housekeeping management or hotel housekeeping roles is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple surfaces and environments.
- Ability to follow safety protocols related to manual handling and chemical use to ensure a safe working environment.
