Picture yourself brightening someone’s day, even in the quietest hours of the night. When you join the DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington team, that is exactly what you will do each time you come to work.
As a Night Auditor, you will serve as both the overnight Front Desk representative and the steward of the hotel’s daily financial close. You will welcome late-arriving guests, assist with overnight needs, reconcile the day’s transactions, and help ensure the hotel is prepared for a seamless new day.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to remain composed when unexpected situations arise.
What You’ll Do
During a typical overnight shift, you will:
- Welcome and assist arriving and departing guests with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency
- Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, reservations, room assignments, and payment processing
- Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests throughout the night
- Audit, post, balance, and reconcile the hotel’s daily financial activity across departments and outlets
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies before completing the nightly audit
- Prepare and distribute operational and financial reports for hotel/corporate leadership
- Monitor hotel activity and maintain clear communication with Security and other overnight team members
- Coordinate with Shuttle Team to ensure timely transportation for guests
- Assist with emergency response procedures and guest communication when necessary
- Prepare the Front Desk and supporting materials for the morning team
- Maintain accurate records, protect confidential information, and follow established cash-handling and security procedures
What It Takes to Make the Stay
At the DoubleTree, our values define how we care for our guests, our communities, and one another.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others
- Integrity, sound judgment, and discretion
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Confidence working independently during overnight hours
- Calm, professional decision-making in unexpected situations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A sense of ownership and personal accountability
- The ability to balance guest service with administrative and financial responsibilities
- Comfort learning hotel systems, procedures, and emergency protocols
- Previous hotel, Front Desk, accounting, cash-handling, or customer-service experience is preferred. Hilton or hotel property-management-system experience is especially valuable, though we are willing to train the right candidate.
Schedule Requirements
This position works overnight shifts and requires reliable availability during the hotel’s overnight operating hours. The typical shift for this position is 11 PM to 7 AM; however, the ability to flex slightly on either side is ideal. Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on business needs.
