Spherion Staffing is seeking a highly-skilled and detail-oriented Medical Device Assembler II to join our dedicated team. Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $23.85 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 50 hours/week
- Overtime: Friday overtime may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Master Production: You will be responsible for the meticulous assembly of medical devices across two or more product lines, consistently meeting and exceeding challenging production goals.
- Be a Quality Champion: Learn and apply our rigorous Quality System Policies and procedures. You will be instrumental in upholding our standards by maintaining accurate, detailed records of your work.
- Drive Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify opportunities, help improve our metrics, and proactively communicate any material shortages to your team.
- Collaborate and Grow: You'll be a key team player, cross-training on various product lines and potentially assisting in the training and mentorship of new team members.
- Own Your Workflow: Follow supervisor instructions on scheduling and priorities, adapt quickly to new procedures, and use your time effectively. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Shared Leadership activities like Kanban Management.
- Prioritize Safety: Help us maintain a safe and compliant work environment by consistently following all established safety guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
- 1–2 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience operating standard manufacturing and measurement equipment (microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, etc.).
- Basic proficiency in MS Windows and site-specific PC programs.
Required Skills:
- Experience or Education: A high school diploma or equivalent, OR 2-3 years of previous medical device or ISO-certified assembly experience in lieu of a diploma.
- Dexterity and Precision: Proven fine motor skills and a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination to work with and assemble small parts and subassemblies using both hands.
- Focus & Stamina: The ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.
- Cleanroom Ready: The capacity to work comfortably in a cleanroom environment and strictly adhere to all associated practices and procedures.
- Foundational Skills: Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions and basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Cleanroom Environment Requirements
Your ability to adhere to strict cleanroom protocols is non-negotiable for maintaining device quality. The following items are NOT permitted inside the cleanroom:
- Makeup, false eyelashes, nail polish, or acrylic fingernails.
- Jewelry on the nose or lip.
- Cell phones or air buds/earphones.
- Food or drinks.
- Shorts, short skirts, frayed pants/jeans with tears/rips, or open-toe shoes.
- Large earrings (small studs must be fully covered by the hair net).
