CNC Lathe / Mill-Turn Programmer & Operator – Mastercam | Aerospace Manufacturing

Pay: Based on Experience
Shift: Day Shift (48 hours/wk)
Who We Are
We are a growing aerospace manufacturing company supplying Tier-1 aerospace customers. Our shop runs a double turret, double spindle, high-end Eurotech mill-turn center, and we're expanding production and automation. We're looking for someone who can program parts in Mastercam and run the machine to prove out their own work — not just operate someone else's program.
What You'll Do
- Program parts in Mastercam (Mill-Turn/Lathe module) for our 11-axis Eurotech, including turning, milling, sub-spindle, and live-tool operations
- Optimize programs for cycle time, tool life, and surface finish
- Set up and run the Eurotech mill-turn from your own programs — load tools, install fixturing/chucking, establish datums, verify offsets
- Prove out new programs safely and efficiently
- Hold tight aerospace tolerances (≤ .001")
- Troubleshoot process issues (tool wear, thermal drift, workholding, offsets) and revise programs as needed
- Collaborate with quoting, quality, and manufacturing engineering on manufacturability
- Manage sub-spindle transfer operations and part-off strategy
- Document setup sheets, process notes, and program revisions
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years CNC lathe/mill-turn programming experience in Mastercam
- 5+ years overall CNC machining experience
- Blueprint and GD&T understanding
- Experience holding tight tolerances in production
Strongly Preferred:
- Multi-axis mill-turn programming experience (live tooling, sub-spindle, Y-axis)
- Eurotech or similar mill-turn platform familiarity
- Aerospace machining background
- Experience with bar feeders, probing, or post-processor customization
