As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and related equipment. Your expertise in computer networking, low voltage systems, and electrical work will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our fiber optic network.

- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables
- Perform fiber splicing and connectorization
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic network issues
- Conduct site surveys to determine the necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Elite fiber LLC is looking for technicians in our Austin market. We are looking for an eager and flexible fiber optic technician to join our growing company. Our ideal candidate should have strong work ethic above all, relatable experience, and/or ready to further their knowledge of the industry. We are looking for an ambitious, dependable and highly motivated individual that is looking to contribute to our team.
This is position is is for an OSP tech. No experience necessary, although experience is preferred. This is a 1099 position.
**Requirements**
MUST HAVE TRUCK OR VAN to work out of
Valid drivers license
US citizen or authorized to work in the US
No felonies within the last 7 years
Available for on call rotation for nights and weekends required for on call rotation
Able to carry up to 60 pounds
Able to work in all elements

- Mechanical knowledge for handling fiber optic cables and connectors
- Basic electrical skills for working with power supplies and grounding systems
- Experience in fiber splicing.
- Understanding of Ethernet standards and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
