Quality Coordinator
Location: Benicia, CA → Dixon, CA (Nov–Dec 2026)Schedule: Full-Time | Day ShiftPay: 22.00-26.00/hour, depending on experienceBilingual English/Spanish Required
Crown Plastics is a growing plastic injection molding manufacturer looking for a hands-on Quality Coordinator to help strengthen and build our production quality systems as we continue to grow.
This is not a desk-only quality position. The Quality Coordinator will spend significant time on the production floor inspecting product, supporting employees, identifying issues early, maintaining quality documentation, and helping ensure customer requirements are consistently followed.
We are looking for someone who can work within our existing processes while also helping us build a stronger, more consistent quality program.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality floor walks throughout the production day.
- Inspect molded plastic parts against approved samples, specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Perform required measurements and inspections using appropriate quality tools.
- Identify defects, quality trends, and potential problems early.
- Place questionable or nonconforming product on hold when appropriate.
- Ensure rejected product is properly identified, separated, and documented.
- Verify employees are following current quality instructions and inspection requirements.
- Support Production Leads and Operators when questions arise regarding acceptable versus unacceptable product.
- Work closely with Mold Technicians when a quality issue may require technical troubleshooting or process adjustment.
- Complete and maintain quality inspection records and required documentation.
- Assist with nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and quality investigations.
- Maintain organized quality records, approved samples, inspection tools, and current work instructions.
- Help create and improve visual quality standards, inspection instructions, checklists, and other floor-level quality tools.
- Train and coach production employees on established quality requirements.
- Verify packaging, labeling, lot identification, and customer-ready product when required.
- Communicate significant or recurring quality issues to management promptly.
- Assist with customer quality visits, audits, and documentation as the quality system develops.
What Success Looks Like
A successful Quality Coordinator is visible on the production floor and catches problems early.
You understand that finding rejects is part of manufacturing — allowing known defective product to continue through production or reach the customer is not.
You communicate clearly, document what happened, involve the right people, and follow issues through to resolution.
As Crown grows, this position will also help us build more consistent quality procedures, documentation, training, and accountability across the production floor.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing quality, inspection, or related production experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow established standards.
- Comfortable working directly on a manufacturing production floor.
- Able to read and follow written specifications, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Comfortable completing and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Able to communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally.
- Willing to help build and improve systems as the company grows.
- Plastic injection molding experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with calipers, gauges, or other basic inspection equipment is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Growth Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join Crown Plastics while we are actively strengthening our quality systems and expanding our operations.
For the right person, this role has the opportunity to grow alongside the company and help shape how our Quality Department operates in the future.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
