Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Evening/Weekend Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety and nutritional balance
- Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area before, during, and after shifts
- Serve meals in accordance with service protocols, ensuring presentation quality
- Manage portion control and adhere to dietary restrictions or special requests
- Support catering events or special meal services as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and sanitation
- Must be able to speak English
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering services
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently during evening and weekend hours in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and serving staff
- Prior dietary aide experience or dietary department background is a plus but not required
