Overview
TUFFSKID is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Fabrication Assistant / Fabrication Technician to support daily fabrication and production operations in our fully air‑conditioned shop environment. This is an important distinction — unlike many fabrication and manufacturing roles performed in non‑climate‑controlled facilities, TUFFSKID provides a clean, organized, and temperature‑controlled workspace designed for comfort, safety, and efficiency.
This position is an integral part of our manufacturing team and contributes directly to the quality, consistency, and reliability of the systems we produce. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. While prior fabrication experience is beneficial, TUFFSKID provides training for motivated individuals who show aptitude and commitment.
Duties
- Material handling — receive, verify, and organize incoming materials and components.
- Fabrication preparation — accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials according to technical specifications.
- Assembly assistance — support fabricators in assembling skids and related systems.
- Final product preparation — assist in preparing completed units for shipment.
- Shop organization — maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Compliance — follow all TUFFSKID safety procedures, fabrication standards, and quality guidelines.
- General support — perform additional shop duties as required to support operations.
