Responsibilities
- Operate scrapers and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, graders, and water trucks to perform earthmoving tasks with precision.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to plan and execute excavation, grading, and material hauling activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and equipment needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and water trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
