Job Overview
The Commercial HVAC Installation & Retrofit Manager is responsible for leading and supervising Commercial HVAC Service Technicians performing equipment installations, retrofit projects, equipment replacements, and related field work. This position manages daily field operations, conducts job walks, verifies proper equipment installation, provides technical guidance, resolves field issues, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Conduct pre-installation job walks to verify project scope, site conditions, equipment requirements, and installation logistics.
- Verify that the correct HVAC equipment, materials, and accessories are ordered, delivered, and installed according to project specifications.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documents prior to project start.
- Monitor project schedules, labor productivity, and job progress.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and company quality standards.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving assistance to Service Technicians in the field.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout each project.
- Conduct quality control inspections and minimize warranty callbacks.
- Ensure Service Technicians complete all required documentation, work orders, and project reports accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience.
- Minimum 1 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC installations, retrofit projects, equipment replacements, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- EPA Certification required.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
