Duties
- Manage the entire escrow process for complex real estate transactions from opening to closing, ensuring all steps adhere to underwriting guidelines and legal requirements
- Conduct detailed title searches using title records, public records, and mapping software to verify property ownership, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and other encumbrances
- Review and interpret legal descriptions and easements to ensure accurate property boundaries and rights are documented
- Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate clear communication throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Utilize real estate transaction management software and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to track progress, update records, and generate reports
- Perform thorough title review and processing tasks including title search analysis, title review, and adherence to underwriting guidelines
- Assist in resolving title issues by researching public records, conducting additional title searches, and preparing necessary documentation for escrow approval
- Maintain comprehensive records of all escrow activities, legal descriptions, title searches, mappings, and related correspondence for audit readiness
- Support clients with inquiries regarding escrow procedures, documentation requirements, and transaction status while providing exceptional customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role within a law office or real estate environment with a focus on escrow processing
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and property documentation review
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), real estate transaction management software, GIS tools, mapping software, and title search databases
- Familiarity with title processing procedures including title review, underwriting guidelines adherence, and legal description analysis
- Ability to research public records effectively to verify property details and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Attention to detail in reviewing complex legal documents such as deeds, easements, encumbrances, and other real estate documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
