Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures exceptional patient care with the patient’s prescription process.
- Oversees and trains others on customer service and counter interactions.
- Assists lobby counter pharmacist with assuring main three (3) registers are staffed.
- Helps guide patients to their appropriate destination in the pharmacy.
- Assists with OTC orders.
- May need to assist with answering the phones.
- May need to assist with the POS system.
- Greet patients as they enter the pharmacy.
Work Schedule:
- Work schedule will vary based on the needs of the business (normally 4-10h shifts).
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
- May be asked to travel as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, reaching and moving throughout the workday.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- Must attend and participate in continuing educational programs.
- Works harmoniously with all members of the pharmacy staff, customers, and other outside personnel.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be a certified/registered Pharmacy Technician (WV BoP).
Experience: Five (5) years experience as a certified/registered pharmacy technician
Five (5) years experience in a customer-facing service role
Five (5) years experience supervising/training others.
