Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of commercial projects from design through construction. This position is responsible for coordinating consultants, managing project schedules, supporting our drafting team, and ensuring projects are delivered on time with a high level of technical quality.
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm's Partners, who provide design direction, client leadership, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial projects through all phases of design and construction administration.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and deliverables.
- Coordinate structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and permitting agencies.
- Prepare and oversee production of construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and quality control.
- Perform building code reviews and coordinate regulatory compliance.
- Prepare permit packages and respond to plan review comments.
- Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Conduct site visits and prepare field reports.
- Resolve construction-related issues in coordination with contractors and consultants.
- Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to drafting staff.
- Work closely with the firm's Partners to ensure projects meet design and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of three years of professional architectural experience with commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience coordinating consultants and managing project schedules.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, building systems, and applicable building codes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
