Overview:
The Network Engineer plays an important hands-on technical role in supporting and maintaining MCU’s Network ecosystem inclusive of Remote sites, Branch Offices, Corporate Office and Data Centers. The Network Engineer works closely with various Information Technology teams to resolve technical issues, support business operations, and contribute to technology initiatives. This position serves as a frontline technical resource, ensuring that IT infrastructure operates efficiently, reliably and securely.
Responsibilities:
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist with the installation and troubleshooting of network devices.

Verify network connectivity and diagnose basic network performance issues.

Support wired and wireless network deployments.
-
Assist with structured cabling installations, cable management and break/fix wiring.

Install, configure, and update operating systems and business applications as required.
-
Apply patches, updates, and security configurations as directed.
-
Support enterprise software deployment initiatives.
-
Provide professional, courteous, and effective support to employees and members.
-
Communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
-
Maintain a customer-focused approach while resolving technical issues.
-
Create and maintain accurate service records, supporting documentation and troubleshooting steps.
-
Assist with maintaining IT inventory and asset tracking systems.
-
Prepare status updates and reports as requested.
-
Follow organizational IT security policies and procedures.
-
Identify and report potential security risks or vulnerabilities.
-
Support compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements as directed.
-
Perform other duties as assigned and special projects as requested.
Requirements:
-
This role requires daily travel within New York Metro area, and surrounding locations.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT related role.
-
24x7 Support, Nights, Holiday and Weekends as required.

Knowledge of network device operating systems, Microsoft Windows operating systems. Microsoft Office applications, Computer hardware and peripherals. Mobile device support.

TCP/IP networking concepts, Network fundamentals, Basic cybersecurity practice.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.)

Exposure to server rooms, telecommunications closets, and technical workspaces.

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, kneel, climb short ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
-
Strong diagnostic and technical troubleshooting abilities.

Takes ownership of support tasks and ensures completion.
-
Works cooperatively with IT team members and stakeholders.

Learns and applies new technologies and procedures quickly.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:
The pay range for this position is between $87,500-108,500 annually. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
