About FluoroFusion
FluoroFusion Specialty Chemicals is a fast-growing company dedicated to reclaiming and selling refrigerants that meet AHRI-700 specifications and strict cylinder safety requirements. We are relentlessly focused on environmental responsibility and driving the circularity of refrigerant management to build a sustainable future for our industry.
Job Summary
Are you a dependable, hands-on professional who likes working independently and being rewarded for your hustle? FluoroFusion Specialty Chemicals is looking for a driven Route Development & Site Technician for one of our satellite locations. You won't be starting from scratch—this location has an established book of business and a solid customer base. Your job is to take care of our current customers and aggressively expand our footprint.
This is a hybrid role: part hands-on site operations and part route management. You will be the face of FluoroFusion in your territory, running our cylinder exchange program and hunting for new sources of used and recovered refrigerants. Because this is a satellite location, you will be in regular, direct contact with the Regional Manager and Director to ensure you have the support you need to solve problems fast. Safety is a core objective of this role; you must maintain an uncompromising standard of safety in all operations. If you are a competitive, hard-working individual who thrives on exceeding targets, building relationships, and taking home commission for your results, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Operational Excellence:
- Make safety the absolute core objective of your daily work. Adhere rigorously to all safety protocols, DOT regulations, and company procedures, reporting any concerns immediately.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of products and equipment, particularly the safe handling of pressurized tanks.
- Operate and maintain site equipment for transferring refrigerant gas between cylinders and reconditioning cylinders for reuse.
- Take pride in your workspace: ensure the uncompromising care and maintenance of the facility, tools, equipment, and truck, keeping them organized and in excellent condition.
- Load and unload the service truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies, utilizing a liftgate and pallet jack safely and effectively.
Territory Growth & Route Management:
- Take ownership of an established route, managing daily scheduling, customer pick-ups/drop-offs, and ensuring timely, reliable service.
- Actively identify and pursue relationships with mechanical contractors, HVAC&R service companies, scrappers, recyclers, and other potential suppliers of end-of-life refrigerants to grow your territory.
- Aggressively prospect and promote the FluoroFusion recovery cylinder exchange program to increase the volume of refrigerant acquired through your site.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of used and recovered refrigerant sources, driving growth for the Oklahoma City location and increasing your commission potential.
Communication & Administration:
- Maintain regular, proactive communication with the Regional Manager and Director to provide updates, solve problems, and align on operational goals from this satellite location.
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with customers to nurture relationships and ensure satisfaction.
- Manage administrative tasks accurately, including daily work orders and weekly expense reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven track record of dependability and hard work in a previous operational, driving, or customer-facing role (e.g., route sales, field service, delivery, or logistics).
- Demonstrated ambition and a goal-oriented mindset. Experience earning commission or performance-based bonuses is a major plus—we want someone hungry to earn more.
- Uncompromising commitment to safety excellence and professional conduct.
- Strong mechanical or technical aptitude; knowledge of the HVAC industry and refrigerant handling/recovery is preferred but not strictly required if you are a fast learner.
- Straightforward communication skills, with the ability to professionally engage, persuade, and build relationships with contractors and tradespeople.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and disciplined; comfortable working independently at a satellite location while maintaining strong communication with remote teams.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL Class C license.
- Must possess or be able to obtain HazMat Endorsement and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification within 90 days of employment.
- Basic computer proficiency (email, web browsers, MS Office).
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including driving and heavy lifting (up to 100+ lbs occasionally).
- Clean driving record meeting company and DOT requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Compensation & Opportunity
- Competitive base pay ($55,000-$65,000), based on relevant certifications and experience).
- Uncapped earning potential through commission and bonus opportunities directly tied to your success in expanding the refrigerant acquisition volume in your territory. The harder you work, the more you make.
- Comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with matching, health, dental, HSA, and paid time off.
- This position offers a unique chance to take over an established territory in Oklahoma City, grow it aggressively, and be rewarded for your drive and results.
