Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of flooring installation sites, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use
- Support senior carpenters and installers in measuring, cutting, and laying hardwood flooring
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials, sanding, buffing, and applying finishes to ensure high-quality results
- Participate in the installation of related building components like trim carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, and cabinet setup
- Follow safety protocols related to building installation safety compliance and water damage restoration procedures
- Assist with floor care maintenance, restoration projects, and tile laying when required to broaden your construction experience
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction site practices and experience working on construction or remodeling projects preferred
- Ability to handle manual tasks safely using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and buffing equipment
- Strong interest in carpentry, flooring installation
- Willingness to learn about building material installation including tile laying, caulking, fixture installation,
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks effectively
- Prior handyman or restoration industry experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Commitment to adhering to all safety standards related to construction painting, water damage restoration, floor care, and general site safety
