Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times.
- Seat guests efficiently, ensuring smooth flow of the dining area while maintaining guest relations.
- Handle cashier responsibilities accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing payments swiftly and securely.
- Maintain organized table management using restaurant table management systems to track seating and turnover.
- Answer phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld during all customer interactions and transactions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that supports excellent guest services and efficient operations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
- Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, are essential.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and payment processes effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food service standards is a plus.
