Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled CDL Operator - Transportation Equipment Operator to join our civil infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy-duty construction and transportation equipment to support construction projects, highway maintenance, and road development initiatives. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and effective movement of materials and equipment across work zones, adhering strictly to safety protocols and FMCSA regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and paving machines to support construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and the use of hand tools and power tools during construction operations.
- Assist with traffic control for work zones to ensure safety for workers and the public while maintaining smooth traffic flow.
- Support highway maintenance activities by performing grading, paving, road repairs, and other civil infrastructure tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), welding procedures, and adherence to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects, providing mechanical knowledge and operational expertise to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and paving machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure or highway projects.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to commercial truck driving and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor environments.
- Familiarity with traffic control procedures for work zones and road safety practices.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic power machinery like Caterpillar models.
- Excellent understanding of road construction processes including paving, grading, and highway maintenance tasks.
- Prior experience working outdoors in various weather conditions on large-scale civil projects is preferred.

Pay: $1,600.00 - $1,800.00 per week
