JOB OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance personnel, assigns tasks, addresses maintenance inquiries from other departments, and ensures compliance with maintenance processes and procedures. This is a hands-on management role.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
- Achieves maintenance objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety, quality, productivity, and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; and driving continuous improvement.
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; verifying expenditures; analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions.
- Improves maintenance systems by developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable in OSHA rules, regulations, and safety procedures for areas of responsibility.
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance program and parts requests.
- Manage daily maintenance schedule.
- Proficient in using hand tools and electric/pneumatic power tools.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Apply fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or HVAC skills.
- Read electrical schematics and diagnose equipment failures.
- Oversee set up new equipment lines and manage changeovers.
- Train production and maintenance personnel.
- Provide direction, coaching and accountability to the Maintenance team.
- Manage and maintain CMMS (FIIX) program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 7-10 years of maintenance experience.
- Experience with metal fabrication and machining processes.
- Previous leadership experience in manufacturing/maintenance settings.
- Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Proficient in reading machine drawings/blueprints, schematics, and interpretation skills.
- Demonstrate excellent judgement and decision making, with the ability to analyze situations and present appropriate resolution(s).
- Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in a preventative maintenance schedule
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, along with attention to detail
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
This position oversees the maintenance personnel at all Robinson facilities in Wisconsin or Iowa.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position does require travel to all other Robinson facilities within Wisconsin or Iowa.
