Subway is hiring a part-time crew member. Earn $18–$20/hour when you include tips — that’s $15.50/hour base + $2–$4/hour in shared tips on every shift you work.
This isn’t your typical fast food restaurant job. We run our Subway locations differently — we train people properly, hold a high standard, and don’t treat our crew like they’re replaceable. If you want a part-time restaurant job that respects your time and actually invests in you, keep reading.
Benefits and Perks
- Pay: $15.50/hour + tips that put your real earnings at $18–$20/hour
- Flexible Schedule: We build your schedule around school, sports, your other job, or whatever you’ve got going on
- Employee Meal Discount: 60% off meals when you work
- Clean Environment: No grease, no fryers — clean kitchen environment
- Paid Training: Real training program starting Day 1 with a dedicated trainer. We don’t throw you on the line and disappear.
- Career Growth: People who show up and perform move up. We promote from within.
What You’ll Do
As a crew member at our Subway restaurant, your day-to-day includes:
- Making sandwiches, wraps, and salads to Subway’s standards
- Running the register and handling cash and card transactions accurately
- Keeping the restaurant clean — dining room, bathrooms, prep area, dishes, trash
- Restocking ingredients and supplies throughout your shift
- Working the line during peak rushes with speed and accuracy
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures
When it gets busy, you move fast. When it’s slow, you clean and prep. There is no standing around.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need restaurant experience. You don’t need a stacked resume. Here’s what actually matters:
- Reliable: You show up on time, every shift. If something comes up, you call before your shift — not during.
- Honest: When you mess up, you own it. No hiding, no blaming, no excuses.
- Coachable: You take direction and feedback without getting defensive. You do it our way.
- Tough: Some shifts are hard. The lunch rush is intense. The work is repetitive. You push through the tough days, not just the easy ones.
- Team Player: You help without being asked. Dishes, trash, mopping — you do it because it needs to get done.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and move for 4–8 hours per shift
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Schedule and Hours
This is a part-time position. Hours will typically be 10–20 per week (1–3 shifts). We cannot guarantee more than that, and this role is not a path to full-time hours.
If you need 25+ hours per week to pay your bills, this isn’t the right fit. This role works best for students, people with another job, or anyone who genuinely wants a few solid shifts a week.
- Available at least 2–3 days per week, including at least one weekend day
- Open to closing shifts
- Willing to stay up to 30 minutes past your scheduled end if the shift needs it
- If your availability is changing soon (new semester, sports, second job) — just tell us upfront
