We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your expertise in bartending and knowledge of the food and beverage industry will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether it's in our upscale Anchor Lorain restaurant, our fun and energetic sports bar, Broadway Grill & Games, or at our fabulous rooftop bistro your skill and personality will be just what our guests are looking for!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
- Interact with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
- Manage inventory levels of bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Stay updated on current drink trends, cocktail recipes, and bar equipment.
- Uphold the values and policies of the Ariel Broadway Hotel
Skills
- Proficient in bartending techniques with experience in a restaurant or nightclub setting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of retail math for managing inventory and cash handling.
- Familiarity with brewing processes is a plus for establishments that offer craft beers.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in fine dining or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
