DESCRIPTION
Kaiser Premier LLC is seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for the evaluation, service, repair, and refurbishment of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on Kaiser Premier sewer recycling trucks, hydro-excavation and vacuum trucks, and other specialty equipment.
This position requires a strong technical background with mechanical assemblies and experience with understanding and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems as well as a basic understanding of vehicle software systems.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- General computer skills required.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies, specifications, and procedures.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Class B CDL or ability to attain within 90 days
- Must be able to travel 50% of the time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, pull, tighten, and lift items over 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in prolonged postures and at heights up to 13 feet (with fall protection).
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, work platforms, and truck access systems using proper 3-point contact.
- Capable of working on irregular surfaces while performing mechanical tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and document component and system issues.
- Perform repairs, service, and refurbishment on heave equipment and truck systems.
- Read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic schematics, and fabrication drawings.
- Assemble large and small parts and subassemblies.
- Operate forklift and other shop equipment safely.
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
- Maintain and track rental equipment, tools, and inventory, including ordering and categorizing parts.
- Communicate with vendors to acquire materials for repairs.
- Complete work efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Kaiser Premier quality standards.
- General housekeeping duties (floor sweeping, trash removal, etc.)
- Other duties and assigned by the Service Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
