Grosso Door & Hardware is a commercial door and hardware company serving the WNY area for over 30+ years. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual for a Lead Finish Welder/Shop Foreman position in our Williamsville shop.
This is a hands-on, leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality fabrication, understands hollow metal construction, and can keep a shop organized, productive and on schedule.
The ideal candidate will be able to weld, fabricate, inspect, and finish hollow metal doors and frames, while also directing shop personnel and ensuring every product leaving the shop meets our quality standards.
Essential Job duties:
-Lead daily operation of the hollow metal fabrication shop
-Coordinate production schedules and prioritize jobs based on project deadlines
-Assign work to shop employees and monitor productivity
-Fabricate and finish hollow metal doors, frames, and related components
-Perform MIG welding and finish welding on hollow metal assemblies
-Read and interpret shop drawings and templates to prep hollow metal doors and frames for installation
-Ability to cut in vision kits and install glass inside doors
-Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment
Qualifications:
-5+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred.
-Strong MIG welding experience
-Experience fabricating hollow metal doors and frames is strongly preferred
-Ability to read shop drawings and measurements
-Ability to lead employees and manage daily shop production
-Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, and stand for long periods of time
-Experience operating metal saws, presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment is a must!
Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
