Duties
- Safely operate a 26-foot refrigerated box truck, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver perishable goods to various customer locations efficiently and on schedule
- Conduct routine inspections of the reefer unit, ensuring refrigeration systems are functioning properly during transit
- Perform basic appliance repair, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repairs as needed to maintain vehicle performance
- Read and interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams for troubleshooting refrigeration and electrical issues
- Assist with assembly or installation of equipment at customer sites when required
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, addressing concerns professionally, and ensuring satisfaction during each delivery
Experience
- Minimum of one year experience as a delivery driver or in a related field service role involving box trucks or refrigerated vehicles
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair, refrigeration systems, HVAC, electrical work, and equipment repair
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical or refrigeration components
- Proven ability to handle appliance repair, refrigeration maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting in a field setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities
- Prior experience working with refrigeration units or HVAC systems is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and perform physical tasks related to assembly and equipment maintenance
