Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manufacturing Engineer who possesses extensive knowledge of CNC machining, specifically within the automotive sector. Your primary focus will be on refining machining workflows, boosting quality and production volume, and spearheading initiatives related to CNC programming and process evolution. We need a practical, shop-floor-oriented engineer who is comfortable with direct troubleshooting, programming tasks, and advancing continuous improvement efforts.
Core Duties

Enhance machining operations to boost OEE, minimize waste, and elevate overall production output

Create, adjust, and verify CNC programming for both vertical and horizontal milling and lathe equipment

Direct the creation of toolpaths and refine cutting methodologies for automotive parts

Select and integrate the most effective tooling, inserts, and work-holding hardware

Resolve machining challenges such as cycle time inefficiencies, tool degradation, vibration, and dimensional inconsistencies

Partner with the Quality department to guarantee process capability and validate initial production pieces

Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to spearhead ongoing process enhancements

Create and update essential process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions

Engage with maintenance, operations, and quality departments to foster cross-functional success
Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or a comparable level of practical experience

Minimum of five years of experience in CNC programming and machining within an automotive manufacturing setting

Advanced proficiency in operating CNC lathes and mills, with a preference for Fuji and Mori Seiki systems

Skilled in the use of AutoCAD and CAM platforms like Mastercam

Deep comprehension of blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and tolerance analysis

Familiarity with Zoller tool pre-setters, CMM equipment, and various measurement technologies

Technical knowledge regarding carbide inserts, tooling, and tool holders

Practical experience designing and using pneumatic or hydraulic fixtures and work-holding devices

Solid grasp of process control, capability analysis, and SPC

Proven ability to provide hands-on support and troubleshooting on the production floor
Desired Qualifications
