Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients according to menu specifications
- Follow established recipes and menu plans to deliver authentic, flavorful dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and prep areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal assembly and plating
- Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Experience
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or fine dining setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife handling
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or catering services is a plus
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Knowledge of culinary practices related to the food industry, including menu planning and food service operations
