Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 3s Teacher / Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will provide high-quality care and instruction to children in the three-year-old age group, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. As a floater, you will also support classroom coverage across different rooms as needed, helping maintain consistency and continuity in our program. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's development while working within a collaborative and supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored for three-year-olds, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Provide consistent supervision and child safety oversight during all activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Support classroom management by maintaining organized learning environments that promote independence and curiosity.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships.
- Assist with daily routines such as snack time, diapering or toileting, nap times, and transitions to create a predictable schedule for children.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements that align with early childhood education standards and individual needs.
- Flexibly cover different classrooms or age groups as a floater to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent care delivery.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific activities for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Certification in First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and Mandated Reporting Laws is required or obtainable upon hire.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration.
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, or occasional coverage across different classrooms.
