JOB TITLE:
The Brides Project Retail Coordinator, Evenings and Weekends, 10-20 hours/week
REPORTS TO:
The Brides Project Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Staff weeknight and weekend hours; occasional coverage of other shifts as needed
- Assist Director with volunteer consultant scheduling as needed
- Monitor TBP voicemail; respond or forward info as appropriate
- Monitor appointment confirmations; reach out to brides as necessary to confirm/reschedule appointments
- Communicate with volunteers regarding scheduled shifts
- Provide shop orientation and initial training to new volunteers, as needed
- Assist with inventory & gown transport
- Monitor gown inventory and report to Director when running low on ‘new’ and larger sized gowns
- Assist with social media content and updates
- Ensure shop tidiness (straighten gowns and racks, hook train loops, tidy up, vacuum, etc.)
- Monitor ad hoc shop supplies (ex. hangers, veil clips, garment bags); report to Director for reordering
- Monitor recurring supplies (ex. hand soap, paper towels, baby wipes, etc.); pick up from CSC as needed
- Monitor store equipment (ex. computer, printer, wifi, heating/cooling, etc.); report issues to Director
- Assist Director with other projects as time permits, as needed
- Examples include: gown donation outreach, volunteer training clinics, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for the mission of the Cancer Support Community
- Enthusiasm for wedding retail industry
- General knowledge of wedding gown styles and trends
- Engaging with others, recognizing that shopping for a wedding gown can be a very emotional event for brides and her loved ones
- Comfortable assisting brides while trying on gowns
- Excellent writing, communication and organization skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Proficient computer skills
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
