Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team 1 -2 day per week. Our practice is located inside LensCrafters Century City at the Westfield Century City Mall.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosing eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and an understanding of the latest advancements in optometry. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments based on patient needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed treatments.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry, including new technologies and treatment methods.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
Experience
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ophthalmology, and physiology is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting or sales environment is advantageous.
