Job Summary
Arkansas Lung Center is seeking a Part-Time/PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide care across two unique practice settings: our outpatient pulmonary clinics and Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients with chronic and acute pulmonary conditions in the outpatient setting while also managing the medical and respiratory needs of patients recovering from serious illness and injury in an inpatient rehabilitation environment.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, and committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This position is located in Fort Smith, AR. Must be willing to travel within Russellville and Fort Smith, AR, as well as Sallisaw, OK.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques in all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Valid state nursing license with the ability to practice as an FNP.
- Experience in primary care is preferred; familiarity with pulmonology is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
