Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook authentic Italian dishes with precision and care
- Assist in menu planning by preparing components according to recipes and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station to ensure food safety standards are met
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including safe storage and sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by efficiently managing meal prep and cooking tasks
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper knife skills and handling techniques
- Contribute to a positive work environment by collaborating seamlessly with team members and supporting catering or special event needs
Requirements
- Prior experience in a culinary setting, particularly in fine dining or Italian cuisine preferred
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including proficiency with knife techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume periods
- Passion for culinary arts, with a desire to learn and grow within the food industry
