Michigan Staffing in Livonia is currently hiring for an Experienced Material Handler at our clients location in Farmington Hills, MI.
Job Summary:
Play a critical role in warehouse operations by ensuring the accurate and efficient movement, storage, and shipment of HVAC products and supplies. This position involves receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping materials, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Hours: Monday -Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm (1hr lunch) / Saturday 8am to 12pm
Pay Rate: $19.00/Hr. Weekly Pay
Position: Full Time, Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Pick and pack orders according to company standards.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized warehouse space.
- Follow company safety procedures and protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a must
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Forklift certification
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Valid driver's license - must be able/willing to be DOT certified.
