Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves the precise assembly, wiring, and testing of electro-mechanical components and systems to ensure high-quality product delivery. Duties
- Assemble electro-mechanical components by following detailed electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks accurately.
- Solder surface mount technology (SMT) components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) in accordance with IPC 610 standards.
- Build electrical panels by wiring components according to electrical schematics and blueprint specifications.
- Conduct electrical testing using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot issues.
- Interpret engineering schematics and electrical blueprints to ensure precise component placement and wiring.
- Perform quality inspections on assembled units, ensuring compliance with IPC 610 standards and blueprint specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during troubleshooting processes for complex electro-mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to safety protocols and manufacturing best practices.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly processes, tooling, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electronics assembly, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with PCB assembly techniques, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering standards such as IPC 610.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration into electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and machining tools.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics accurately and follow blueprint specifications meticulously.
- Experience with electrical panel building, wiring diagrams, and schematic interpretation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with engineering problem-solving capabilities for complex electro-mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments such as ohmmeters for circuit verification.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance standards in manufacturing processes.
