Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Painter to join our construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality finishes that meet client specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing drywall or plaster to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work and select appropriate materials and techniques for each project.
- Execute construction painting tasks on residential, commercial, or industrial sites while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
- Perform specialized tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, restoration projects, and fixture installation as needed.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and manage material usage efficiently.
- Conduct surface preparation for renovation projects including plastering, masonry repairs, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, and drywall finishing.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly throughout each project.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial projects.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and industrial painting techniques.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, color theory application, and basic math skills for measurements and estimations.
- Prior experience in renovation projects involving remodeling, restoration work, fixture installation, or stucco application is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, concrete finishing or masonry tasks as part of comprehensive painting projects.
