Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Solidworks Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our research and development team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will assist in creating 3D CAD models, production drawings, and manufacturing documentation for mechanical components and assemblies belonging to our next-generation small arms and tactical accessories. Key Responsibilities
- Design Support: Utilize Solidworks 3D CAD software to created and modify CAD models and blueprints for firearm components and assemblies.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs meet SAAMI standards, military specifications, and internal safety protocols.
- Support Documentation: Utilize Solidworks and Windows Environment software to create and modify supporting documentation.
- ERP/BOM Documentation: Utilize ERP system to create, manage, and modify Bills of Material and manufacturing methods.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma at a minimum, certificates in Solidworks, or an associates in CAD or related would be beneficial.
- Solidworks Skills: Demonstrable proficiency specifically with Solidworks software (parts, assemblies, and drawings) is required for this position. The qualified candidate must be able to hit the ground running using Solidworks to modify existing models, model from scratch, and document per our established procedures/methodologies without Solidworks-specific instruction.
- Drafting Skills: Experience or knowledge of producing documentation compliant with the ASME Y14 series of standards, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), is highly preferred.
- Firearms Knowledge: A strong knowledge of and enthusiasm for firearms, and related designs and mechanisms.
- Legal: Must legally be able to possess, handle, and transport firearms under federal, state, and local laws. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
